Volleyball (Girls V/JV) Scores

Varsity vs Evansville Central High School Win Saturday Sept 12th Central Invite 11:00 North Daviess Loss 13-25 9-25 Came out flat on this Saturday morning. We struggled with serve receive and that set the tone for the entire set. We did try a new rotation that got progressively better as the day went on. 12:30 Central Loss 11-25 27-29 They fought the second set and missed winning by a hair. It was an exciting match with long rallies and tough volleyball from both sides. 3:00 Harrison Win 25-18 24-26 15-12 We played as a team. We had great serving, communication on the court, and confidence all around. Zoey C. moved to middle, Sophie O'Neal moved to OH, and Zoey H. and Magdalen Thompson shared the OPP position. Braelyn Barnett went from setting to libero, and Neva went to setting all around. We had tons of changes today and I was proud of the team for adjusting and being the athletes I know they can be! 4:00 Bosse Win 25-12 25-9 Bosse was feisty and didn't just give us the win, even though the score doesn't reflect that. We played well too and I was able to give my starters a break from a long day of volleyball, and my subs got some playing time. Addy Aldridge did a great job serving and Carmen Oppelaar gave it her all in the front row and was aggressive at the net. I am so proud of our team and how we handed ourselves on the court. It is hard to get beat 2 times and keep playing and surge forward to land 2 wins. It was a fun and exciting day of volleyball. We are back at it next week with M, T, and TR games!! Go Chargers!!!
