Pike Central Middle/High School Athletics

The Pike Central Cross Country Teams competed in the Jasper Sectional on Saturday morning. The top 5 teams and 15 individuals from non-advancing teams would qualify for the Regional. The Lady Chargers came away with a 2nd place team finish and were led with top ten finishes from freshman Sadie Franklin and senior Alyssa McCutchan. This will be the third straight season for the girls team to advance to the Regional (2024 - 9th/25 and 2025 - 20th/25). In the boys race, Taylor Russell was able to make the list of 15 from non advancing teams to earn his first trip to the Regional. The Regional will be held at Crawford County next Saturday.
