Pike Central Middle/High School Athletics

The Pike Central Cross Country teams competed in the Harrier Classic at Brown County on Saturday. It was a good day for the Chargers as all runners who competed last week improved their times this week! The boys team did not have enough runners to score but competing in the race for the Chargers were: 113th-Taylor Russell (20:29), 129th-Quintin McCormick (21:48), and 145th-Jacob Harker (24:33). The girls team was missing Emiley Riker today but still had nine competitors. Finishing the race for the Lady Chargers were: 25th-Alyssa McCutchan (21:19), 33rd-Kylee Weathers (21:34), 73rd-Audrey Whitehead (23:24), 99th-Kylie Meyer (24:47), 110th-Eva Cox (25:50), 123rd-Channing Sorgius (26:38), 128th-Kinley Blackwell (27:44), 132nd-Avery Adams (28:34), and 141st-Lydia Abel (31:57). The girls team finished in 8th place. Both teams will compete at Angel Mounds next weekend.
